Saas-Fee in the Swiss Alps is the perfect destination for a short ski break, or skiing weekend. Aptly described as ‘the pearl of the Alps’, this picturesque village is a truly beautiful resort. Due to the ban on cars in the village it retains its charm and idyllic feel. The village is easily accessible by foot, but small electric vehicles offer taxi services as well. The narrow streets are lined with bakeries, bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. The village has everything you could possibly need including a new spa with stunning mountain views. This incredibly snow sure resort lies at 1,800m, but the Fee glacier allows even for summer skiing. Skiing at the glacier is incredible, and there is a revolving restaurant that provides panoramic views of the mountains. Saas-Fee is a truly charming village with varied pistes – it even has a piste through the trees specifically for sledging! You can also ski from the neighbouring villages of Saas-Almagell and Saas-Grund.
I highly recommend Saas-Fee as a destination for a skiing weekend. It is not far from Geneva Airport and is easily accessible. Beautiful scenery, snow-sure skiing and ample amenities means Saas-Fee caters for all!
I hope you love Saas-Fee as much as I did!
